TREY CAPERS

Playing History

Born in Houston, raised in Sugar Land, Coach Trey attended Fort Bend Austin High School where he excelled for the Bulldogs becoming an all-district performer at Short Stop. He always knew that he was going to be an educator, majoring in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from Delta State University in which he played Short Stop and Third Base for the Statesmen upon acceptance of a Division II- scholarship. Prior he played Short Stop for the Jaguars of University of Houston- Victoria in their inaugural season under former Astro All Star Terry Puhl. While there, Coach Trey hit the first home run in the history of the program.

Teaching History

Coach Trey has been in the Education field for 6 years, starting with his experience in Special Education at Travis High School in Fort Bend ISD. Finding his true passion in Early Childhood, he has been the Physical Education and Motor Skills teacher at The Ischool in Katy, TX for the past 5 years. Coach Trey holds teaching certifications in Physical Education (EC-12), Special Education (EC-12) , and Generalist (EC- 6th grade).

Coaching History

Coach Trey has been coaching Select Baseball for the past 5 years with the Phoenix Baseball Organization out of Katy, TX. While with Phoenix Baseball, he has maintained great success with many accolades at various age groups and levels (10U, 11U, 13U, 14U, 16U, & 18U). In addition to his coaching, Trey has worked as a baseball instructor teaching pitching, fielding, and hitting to ages ranging from 8-18.
